Today at church, we began part 1 of a 5 part series called “Fight”. We learned that we do what’s important to us, and that we ARE disciplined, but not necessarily in the right things. In Romans 7 in the Bible, Peter basically talks about how much he sucks <g>. But 1 Cor 9 talks about running to win the race. With purpose in every step. With DISCIPLINE.

I challenge you to identify what you want most. To quit smoking? To save your marriage? Go back to college? Heal a relationship? Then, determine what you need to do NOW to have what you want MOST. And this time, instead of being just self-disciplined, be Spirit-disciplined.

Moved the treadmill to the busiest part of the house. Can’t hide from the reminder to exercise!

For me, I want to lose 20 pounds. And here’s what I’m doing NOW to have what I want most: The treadmill has been dusted off and moved from the garage to the family room. It ain’t pretty; but I now have no excuse.

We are more than conquerors. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

It’s GO TIME.
